In our fast paced city, we often times miss the natural beauty that is around us.
Join photographer Jeff Tse to take a different look at things in our natural landscape and capture it through photography. Along with focusing on natural elements, we will capture images of how nature is juxtaposed with our city. You will gain tools to see the world around you differently so that you can photograph not just natural elements in New York, but the world beyond.
Bring the camera that you are most comfortable with, even if it’s just your iPhone.
Inspired by great Naturalists such as Edward Weston and Georgia O’Keeffe, Jeff Tse takes a creative and documentary approach toward photographing natural forms. Tse defines his work as a play of light and form, striving to create imagery that parallels sculpture more so than the two-dimensional photograph. He carefully selects specific objects, in the same manner in which a sculptor would choose the finest clay with which to work—those from which he can evoke inordinately pleasing forms.
